Sprinx has successfully implemented its traffix.ai platform in the Podmurvice Tunnel in Croatia, marking another milestone in its international expansion and reinforcing its presence in the Balkans.
This cutting-edge solution is part of a collaborative effort led by Led Elektronika, in partnership with IP Way and Yunex Traffic. IP Way, a trusted Sprinx partner and distributor based in Serbia, specializes in delivering innovative solutions in the fields of telecommunications, IT infrastructure, and security. With a strong focus on customer needs, IP Way played a pivotal role in facilitating this project by connecting Sprinx’s advanced technology with local market expertise.
Yunex Traffic, a global leader in intelligent mobility systems, joined the project as the systems integrator. Renowned for their extensive experience in smart traffic management and tunnel monitoring, Yunex provided valuable technical expertise to ensure seamless integration of the traffix.ai platform with the overall infrastructure. Their deep understanding of mobility challenges in urban and tunnel environments greatly contributed to the project’s success.
The project involved deploying 16 high-resolution Hanwha cameras within the Podmurvice Tunnel, all integrated with traffix.ai’s Automatic Incident Detection (AID) and traffic data analytics features. These advanced capabilities allow for real-time incident detection, such as stopped vehicles, slow-moving traffic, and the presence of smoke, as well as proactive alerts to operators, enabling swift responses to mitigate risks. In addition, comprehensive traffic analysis supports long-term infrastructure planning and optimization. Sprinx’s dragon platform further enhances the system, providing operators with detailed traffic event logging and a robust foundation for data-driven decision-making. The Podmurvice Tunnel project is yet another demonstration of Sprinx’s expanding reach into the Balkans, following other successful implementations in the region.
