We recently had the pleasure of participating in the 2nd Seminários de Túneis Rodoviários in Brazil, held from October 16-18 at São José dos Campos’ Technology Park. This event highlighted the incredible advancements in infrastructure, including Brazil’s landmark Tamoios Highway project, one of South America’s largest and most complex tunnel infrastructures.
With nearly 35 km of tunnels—20 of which are large-dimension structures—this ambitious project symbolizes the growing focus on safe and sustainable transportation in Brazil, a vision we at Sprinx are excited to support.
Throughout the seminar, it was evident that the Tamoios project’s innovative approach to construction has not only preserved the surrounding environment, safeguarding local flora and fauna in an exceptionally sustainable way, but has also boosted safety by reducing accidents along the route by over 40%.
In Contornos Rodoviarios, Sprinx is already contributing to these safety advancements through the implementation of traffix.ai and dragon, our proprietary technologies for advanced traffic monitoring and management. Our solutions are designed to tackle the unique challenges of Brazil’s infrastructure while ensuring the highest standards in road safety.
The seminar brought together leaders in the field, providing an invaluable platform to engage with industry experts and gain deeper insights into their needs for traffic analysis and tunnel safety solutions. This exchange underscored the importance of ongoing collaboration and innovation in addressing the complexities of modern tunnel management.
Brazil represents a dynamic, rapidly evolving market with vast potential for innovation in safety technology. With high rainfall and challenging geotechnical conditions, especially in protected areas like the Serra do Mar National Park, this region faces unique safety challenges that demand advanced solutions.
Our time at STR2024 was an opportunity to highlight how our solutions can bring impactful results in critical areas like the Tamoios Highway, mitigating risks such as drainage, infiltration, and material transport—all essential for ensuring the safety and sustainability of this monumental infrastructure.
Sprinx looks forward to deepening its engagement in the Brazilian market, which we see as a land of incredible opportunities for transformative safety solutions.
Stay tuned as we continue to bring the SprinXperience to new regions, working to make a positive impact on global infrastructure.
