Sprinx technology powers traffic management in Norway’s West Corridor project

Sprinx is proud to announce our involvement in the West Corridor (Vestkorridoren) project in Norway, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving connectivity between Lysaker in Bærum and Drengsrud in Asker. This 17-kilometer stretch of the E18 highway is set to transform transportation in the region, with construction currently progressing between Fornebukrysset and Ramstadsletta.

Vestkorridoren

Our advanced traffix.ai software technology has been selected for the project, providing 213 server-side traffic monitoring cameras across multiple tunnels along the new route. The project’s long-term timeline, from 2026 to 2029, presents both exciting opportunities and unique challenges. A key requirement for this initiative is ensuring the technology remains future-proof. Sprinx’s solution is designed to be scalable, adaptable to future expansions, and capable of handling increasing traffic volumes. Additionally, our open and flexible platform allows for seamless integration of new technologies as they evolve, ensuring the system remains at the forefront of innovation. This approach underscores the commitment of the West Corridor project, in partnership with Statens vegvesen (SVV), Hatteland, and Aventi as the system integrator, to building infrastructure that can adapt and thrive in the future. Sprinx is excited to contribute to this forward-thinking initiative, leveraging our expertise to ensure real-time traffic monitoring that enhances both safety and efficiency within the tunnels. As we look ahead to supporting the smooth, safe operation of this critical transportation link in Norway, we remain committed to providing cutting-edge, future-proof solutions that will drive the success of the project well into the future.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to play a key role in this groundbreaking development!
